Common and Combined Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP): A majority of the Small Scale Industries (SSI) are incapable to put up the treatment systems separately, the idea of CETP’s (Common Effluent Treatment Plants) is envisioned to benefit such industries in treating their effluent before disposal be it is in the form of stream, land, sewerage system or in rivers and seas. CETPs are installed in the industrial estates where there are groups of small scale industrial units and where several polluting industries are located.
